Twiglet: The Little Christmas Tree eBook

You and your child will be able to fully enjoy the large print, 49 full-page illustrations, and countless color artsparks that fill this story of discoveries, friendships, and miracles. Read along as you go back to a time long ago when a tree with a white top-notch shows up on a Christmas tree farm. You will meet Gran’pa Shepherd and his grandson Bright, who own the Christmas tree farm, and through “Twiglet: The Little Christmas Tree,” you will meet twins Rueben and Rachel Oliver, who live with their Gramma O in a little old cabin down at little old lane, among the tall pine trees.

As the story unfolds, you will help the twins look for “Twiglet” each year, discovering the friendships and miracles that happen when you lend a helping hand. You will sit in a one-room schoolhouse as Miss Sarah teaches the children of Snowflake valuable lessons in reading, writing, and doing their arithmetic. Memorize the monthly sayings with the children and keep looking out for Twiglet and the new friendships and miracles that fill all seven chapters.

Read on as Rueben and Rachel learn the tremendous responsibility of taking care of their horses, going on school picnics, participating in the town’s 4th of July celebration, and continuing to look for the miracles and friendships accompanying the white top-notched tree year after year.

Navigating the Gift Shoppe

There are seven areas in our Gift Shoppe. In PJ’s BOOKSHELF, all books, paper doll books, and coloring books line the shelves. The mugs, ornaments, phone cases, pillows, puzzles, mouse pads, etc., are set up in the CORNER CABINET. Giclee prints of Phyllis Mae Richardson Fisher line the ART GALLERY’s walls. The paper dolls are showcased in the PAPER DOLL FACTORY. In the ROLL TOP DESK, all writing products, including stationery, writing kits, greeting cards, and gift cards, can be found in the cubbies. The aprons, caps, hoodies, sweatshirts, and t-shirts will be in the ARMOIRE, and the book tour for Twiglet: The Little Christmas Tree starts at the SNOWFLAKE DEPOT.

Everything is made in matching designs, helping create personalized products and that perfect gift!

The paper doll outfits, designed by our Phyllis Mae Richardson Fisher, include everyday clothes, a western outfit, a wedding dress (on the older dolls), and pajamas and gowns nestled among “art sparks”* on each page!! The 1989 Family Friends, International Friends, Little Animal Paper Dolls, and Rueben ‘n’ Rachel from our new children’s book, Twiglet: The Little Christmas Tree, start the list of over 100 paper dolls that will be joining them in the future!! One category of greeting cards has a central blessings theme—for example, Christmas Blessings, Valentine Blessings, Thanksgiving Blessings, Birthday Blessings, etcetera. We aim to have cards for all occasions, including thank you cards, just because, thinking of you, and sympathy cards.

We are the official home of Twiglet: The Little Christmas Tree, a children’s book of discoveries, friendships, and miracles. About the Artist...

Phyllis Mae has been sketching and drawing since she was a little girl, and to date takes to her pen to create another doll and a whole line of outfits. Her original inspiration was her family. In 1969 she created a couple of paper dolls and outfits for her daughter. In 1989 she created a line of dolls to represent her granddaughters and daughter. "The Family Friends Paper Dolls" include Chrissy, Melly, and Janae. Over the life of the company, the paper doll books collection has grown to over 100 paper dolls. The style and flair of these dolls was applied to matching items, such as bookmarks, cards, and stationery, designed by Janey Loree. Because we are the designers and printers it makes it possible to personalize some of the paper dolls too!
